- Customer
- Calder Equipment (synthetic customer from the Production AI Agents course; every trace and config on this box is made up for the exercise)
- Situation
- Case C41 took four minutes to fail. The trace shows one model call that timed out, retried by the router, whose retries were retried by the runtime's tool wrapper, whose failures were retried by the case loop. Nine calls, one deadline nobody owned. The customer waited four minutes for a message that said try again.
- Your role
- You are the FDE who owns the retry policy across the stack. You have the trace, the three config files (bound to the live router and runtime), and the replay.
- Goal
- Count the calls one timeout produced, name the multiplication, give the deadline a single owner, and replay C41 to a fast handoff.
